Country of Origin: Italy, France, USA; Chile, Argentina. We manufacture several varieties according to the seasonal availability of walnuts: we stock the freshest fruits of the marketplace only, taking advantage of the inverted season in south-equatorial regions. From October to April, Italy (Lara and Chandler, really breakable shell, typical of the Po valley), France (variety Franquette) and USA (Howard, Hartley, Chandler). From May to September, Argentina and Chile (variety Serr and Chandler).
In nature, walnuts are not as we find them in bags, rather, they are completely covered by a green flesh called hull, then removed during the cleaning of the fruit. The hull may be used in various ways, for instance to prepare the liquor “nocino”.
Walnuts are high in fatty acids Omega 3, anti-oxydant and alpha-linoleic acid, which make them excellent natural anti-oxidant and a beneficial food for the prevention of cancer.
Walnuts contain vitamin A, B, C, K, magnesium, phosphorous, potassium ans they are extremely rich in zinc and copper. Ideal to balance your diet. They have a high quantity of calories: the recommended daily portion is 30 g, which corresponds more or less to 5 fruits.
